Thank you for your support to the mission of this site.
Practising eye exercises has more benefits than just seeing more clearly. It helps you to:
Increased clarity of sight
Increased mental clarity and memory
Enhanced depth perception
Become more relaxed
More connection with the world around you
People are often surprised that they can perform better in sports, read more easily, relax more easily, become creative, and much more. Each of your process is different, and the benefits are different for each person.
Symptoms of Astigmatism
People with severe astigmatism will usually have blurred or distorted vision at all distance, while those with mild astigmatism may experience headaches, eye strain, fatigue or blurred vision at certain distances.
(2) Hold the dial chart in the right hand and stretch the arm so that the chart comes to lie far away from the eye.
(3) Slowly bring the chart closer to you until at least some lines are dark and relatively clear.
(4) Determine the darkest (clearest) and the lightest lines. Are they situated at right angles to each other ?
(5) Rotate the chart through ninety degrees. The spatial location of the most clear and most blurred lines should remain the same.
(6) Repeat the entire routine with the left eye, keeping the right eye covered with the right palm.
Evaluation of Your Test Result
If all the lines appear equally clear, it indicates an absence of astigmatism. If the line of a particular meridian appears darker than the rest and if the line perpendicular to it appears the least clear, it is an indication of astigmatism. The greater the difference in tone between the clear and the blurred lines, the greater the degree of astigmatism.
Guidelines for Eye Exercises
1. First, read and understand the steps of each correction exercise carefully.
2. Do not use glasses or contact unless you are instructed to.
3. Do the eye exercises in in non-glaring light. Vision chart or targets should be well lit at all times.
4. If the eye exercise requires you to close the eye, do so gently.
5. Do not strain your eyes while doing the eye exercise. The result would be better if you do not strain your eyes.
6. Rest your eyes after each eye exercise, and also at the end of the whole eye exercise. To relax your eyes, perform the eye relaxation exercises.
7. As our eyes are tired after a whole-day work, early morning is the best time for eye exercises.
8. If you do not have enough time to complete all the eye exercises for astigmatism, you can do some in the morning and finish the rest in the later part of the day.
